The Kenilworth project required an urgent engineering review and assessment of previous foundation work completed five years earlier. At the time, the homeowners had obtained a building permit and carried out waterproofing and concrete support repairs, but the City inspection was never scheduled, and the permit remained open.

When the homeowners sold the property, the issue surfaced during the title search just one week before closing date. The buyer requested a significant price reduction, amounting to tens of thousands of dollars, unless the permit was properly closed.

This is where we stepped in. Working closely with our partner engineer, we conducted a same-day site assessment, prepared the required engineering report, submitted all documentation to the City, and coordinated directly with the inspector. The permit was officially closed within two days, an exceptionally fast turnaround given the circumstances.

The homeowners were relieved to pay us the rush fee, especially since resolving the issue saved them approximately $45,000 on the sale of their home.

If you need help with an open building permit, engineering review, or urgent City inspection, we can assist. We specialize in fast, compliant, and professionally documented solutions across Toronto and the GTA.
