The Marblemount project was an urgent structural repair after an unethical contractor took payment, installed temporary supports, and disappeared, leaving the homeowners stressed, uncertain, and with an unfinished, unsafe project. When the homeowner first called us, we could hear the lack of trust in his voice. They asked all the right questions: our background, years in business, references, insurance, and process. These were the questions they should have asked the first contractor, and we understood why they needed reassurance.
We met in person, and from the first handshake, we both knew we could work together. Within three days, a record turnaround given the circumstances, we prepared the structural drawings and submitted the permit application to the City. Once approved (also within a couple of days) we moved quickly into implementation, replacing the unsafe temporary work with a proper engineered solution.
The final result was a safe, open-concept bungalow and a clean structural project for the homeowners to continue their renovation. What began as a stressful situation ended with stability, clarity, and a space ready for their imagination.
This project is a strong reminder of why a reliable, accountable process is essential: a clear contract, a payment schedule tied to real progress, proper liability insurance, and full structural drawings with permitting.
